About This Curriculum

ASL Virtual Academy’s American Sign Language classes are designed to build signing skills so students are confident signing with a Deaf native signer.  It’s centered around ASL mastery and the proper use of the language.  Proper use of ASL goes well beyond basic vocabulary memorization and dives into how to structure a conversation (ASL grammar). Obtaining these skills requires time and effort, but we have the whole journey mapped out for the student.  It’s a comprehensive class, “a real class” with a course syllabus and a curriculum that’s aligned with the national standards of language learning.
